From the Pastor’s desk— September 1, 2024

Dear Parishioners,

With the Festival of Nations now behind us and the summer months closing, the seasons for studies are beginning. That means PSR catechesis will be starting very soon, so please register! RCIA will also beginning soon for those adults interested in becoming catholic. I even encourage those who are already catholic but want to deepen their faith to go to RCIA tables for a refresher course on the faith. We will also have adult studies option on Sundays during PSR time.

In addition to our parish studies, I want to talk about St. Joseph’s Academy. It’s not too late to register! I especially want to encourage any families who may think catholic school is not for them. PSR is more or less an hour a week of learning the faith. In St. Joseph’s Academy, our students are surrounded by catholic faith all through the week, with prayer, devotional images, and faithful teachers. Our new principal, Sister Martina, and the other sisters in the school will be a special example of the joy of faith. I will also be present around the school together with two other priests. We want to be a family of faith at St. Joseph’s Academy and to welcome all of our children from the parish to experience it if possible.

God gave us brains so we could use them. We have a very smart faith. What we do and why has deep meanings we don’t always see. We also have many well-educated Catholics building up culture today and throughout history. Learning more about our faith and introducing our children to the Truth who is Jesus, helps us to love God more. It helps us to love our faith and family more. We should always have open hearts to learn something new.
