From the Pastor’s desk— June 30, 2024

At this point today, I have almost no words to say.   We have preached all we can preach, left the best example we could as a community of servants to Sacred Heart.  We pray some words or example from one of the many Claretians who have served here takes root in your heart.  But if there were any last words I could give, they would be, “Thank You.”

Thank you for your beautiful hearts, thank you for bringing your children up in the faith, thank you for being willing to learn more about God every Sunday.  Thank you for all the service you have given to the church and its ministries.  Thank you for caring for those most in need.   Thank you for inviting us into your lives and letting us walk with you in the joys and the pains.  Thank you for being the “welcoming parish.”  Thank you for being the “sending parish” as your prayers will send each of us to our new destinations.  But most of all thank you for loving us and letting us love you.  There is no better memory we can take with us than having received the love of the Sacred Heart through each of you. 

Please know you will stay in our hearts as we know what a special place this is and please pray for us as we go to Chicago, Fresno, San Antonio, and Vancouver.
